About me
I am a certified Pilates instructor and I have specialised training in Pilates for scoliosis and sport, pre- and postnatal Pilates, as well as myofascial release through movement. Inspired by the knowledge I gained from various certifications, science-based education and personal experience, I work to connect clients to their bodies in ways that not only improve their practice on the mat but also develop their strength, alignment, range of movement and ease in all other areas of life. My approach is centred on strengthening the muscles and joints, but I also look further than the musculoskeletal system, working with the neuromuscular and fascial systems to restore balance in the body and the nervous system. I empower my clients to relearn movement in a way that creates freedom and ease in their bodies, boosts energy and supports longevity.

Before becoming a Pilates instructor, I worked in academia as philosopher and gender scholar. Like so many of us I have always been harshly critical of my body, feeling disconnected from it and believing that I do not have it in me to be really strong. All of this changed when I took up Pilates more seriously some years ago. Its intentional movement patterns helped me to tune into my body in ways that have enabled me to become the strongest I’ve ever been, transforming how I feel in myself and how I move in the world. I took the leap and retrained as Pilates instructor, feeling passionate about the work of guiding others through the same process of rediscovering connection with their bodies and cultivating strength.
